It has 168 pages and shows exclusive behind-the-scenes pre-production artwork from the movie, with concept art, character designs, interviews the artists. I really have enjoined looking through this book, it has tons of artwork from Nico Marlet the main Character Designer on all the Kung Fu Panda films.  Like I said before Tracey, did a great job finding some wonderful artwork to show in this book. The artwork is crisp and sharp with lots of detail. I was able to receive the green light to show some of the artwork from the book down below. It gives examples of the how Pixar uses these subjects to create unforgettable characters.  It has many pictures to inspire artist before it asks youexplore their own imagination in creating characters based on the subject matter that is being discussed in each chapter. I give the books a fun 4.3 out of 5

The Art of Kubo and the Two Strings

The Art of Kubo and the Two Strings is a wonderful art book if you like set design, layout , and background artwork.  As for character designs there is too few and far between.  The book contains 160 pages, and about 1/10 of those pages has drawings of the characters and most of them are of the final designs of each character . R ather than show lots of drawings of them creating and experimenting with the designs which most artists love to see.  The book has lots of artwork, but I was really sad to see such little attention to the characters and an overload of attention to set design, layout, props, and background paintings.  I give it 2.5 out of 5
